قَالَ عَبْدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، ثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا اجْتَهَدَ لِأَحَدٍ فِي الدُّعَاءِ ، قَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " جَعَلَ اللهُ عَلَيْكُمْ صَلَاةَ قَوْمٍ أَبْرَارٍ ، لَيْسُوا بِآثِمَةٍ وَلَا فُجَّارٍ ، يَقُومُونَ اللَّيْلَ وَيَصُومُونَ النَّهَارَ " .
3354 \ 2 - وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نَصْرٍ التَّمَّارُ ، ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : كَانَ أَحَدُهُمْ إِذَا اجْتَهَدَ لِأَخِيهِ فِي الدُّعَاءِ قَالَ : فَذَكَرَهُ .
3354 \ 2 - وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نَصْرٍ التَّمَّارُ ، ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : كَانَ أَحَدُهُمْ إِذَا اجْتَهَدَ لِأَخِيهِ فِي الدُّعَاءِ قَالَ : فَذَكَرَهُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated earnestly and with great effort for someone, he would pray for him in these words: "Ja'ala Allahu alaykum salata qawmin abrar, laysu bi-athimatin wa la fujjar, yaqumuna al-layla wa yasumuna al-nahar (May Allah ordain for you the supplications of righteous people who are neither sinners nor wicked, who stand (in worship) by night and fast by day)."
In the narration of Imam Ahmad bin Mani', it is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever one of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) wished to supplicate earnestly and with great effort for one of his (Muslim) brothers, he would say these same words mentioned above.
