It is narrated from a Companion of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) that he narrated this hadith to Shurayh before these hadith became mixed up with one another (because of the trials), that Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, said: "O son of Adam! Rise and come towards Me (in worship and obedience), and I will walk towards you (with mercy and forgiveness); and walk towards Me, and I will come running towards you (swiftly and with favour)."
Sahih mawquf.
