It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you visit your Muslim brother (as a guest), eat of his food and do not ask (about its lawfulness or its source), and drink of his drink and do not ask (about it either)."
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded this hadith in his Musnad; its chain contains Muslim bin Khalid al-Zanji, who is saduq (truthful) but the hadith scholars have criticised his memory; however, on the basis of other supporting reports this narration is significant in the chapter of good opinion and the etiquette of hospitality.
