قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَنْ مَشَى إِلَى سُلْطَانِ اللهِ تَعَالَى فِي الْأَرْضِ لِيُذِلَّهُ ، أَذَلَّ اللهُ تَعَالَى رَقَبَتَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَعَ مَا ذُخِرَ لَهُ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ ، وَسُلْطَانُ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : كِتَابُ اللهِ تَعَالَى وَسُنَّةُ نَبِيِّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever goes to the proof and authority (sultan) of Allah Almighty on earth in order to humiliate it, Allah Almighty will afflict him with humiliation and disgrace on the Day of Resurrection, in addition to the punishment that has (already) been stored up for him. And the sultan (proof and dominion) of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, means the Book of Allah Almighty and the Sunnah of His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
