It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) related a hadith such that, after accepting Islam, we had never rejoiced at anything as much as we rejoiced on hearing this Prophetic saying. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the believer is rewarded for removing something harmful from the road; he is also rewarded for showing someone the way; he is also rewarded for interpreting for, or speaking clearly on behalf of, someone who cannot speak clearly because of a stammer or impediment in his speech; he is also rewarded for lending (someone) a milk-giving animal (to benefit from); so much so that a person is even rewarded for something tied in the corner of his garment which he feels for, but his hand fails to find it (and he is worried for a moment)."
Musnad Abi Ya'la: 2682. Its chain contains the narrator al-Minhal bin Khalifah, who is da'if (weak); however, the other parts of the hadith are reliable on the strength of supporting reports found in authentic hadiths.
