وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ - هُوَ الْجُعْفِيُّ - عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ الذَّبَائِحِ فَقَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذِ الْتَاثَتْ رَاحِلَةُ أَحَدِنَا طَعَنَ بِالسَّيْفِ فِي صُدْغِهَا .
It is narrated from Ishaq (bin Rahwayh) that Zayd bin Wahb al-Juhani (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "I asked Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) about slaughtering animals, and he said: 'We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when the mount (she-camel) of one of us became unruly (that is, could not be brought under control), so he (its owner) struck it with the sword in its temple (and in this way slaughtered it in the lawful manner).'"
