Fudayl bin Iyad narrates from Mansur, from Ibrahim al-Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him), that he said: "Indeed, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to perform Hajj but did not offer a sacrifice."
Ibrahim al-Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) further said: "And those people (the Companions and the Successors) used to perform Hajj while they had their (travel) provisions and gold with them, yet they did not offer a sacrifice."
