وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ عِمَارَةَ بْنِ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : أُهْدِيَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَبْشَانِ جَذَعَانِ أَمْلَحَانِ فَضَحَّى بِهِمَا .
2288 \ 2 - وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ بِهِ .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) that "two rams were presented as a gift to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); they were one year old (jadha') and of mixed white and black colour (piebald), so he (peace and blessings be upon him) sacrificed them both."
Abu Ya'la also narrated (this same hadith) from Abu Bakr (Ibn Abi Shaybah) with the same (chain).
