قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَرِيفٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَسَمَ قَسْمًا فَدَعَا رَجُلًا يَحْسِبُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ ، فَقَالُوا : أَعْطِهِ . قَالَ : إِنْ شَاءَ وَهُوَ سُحْتٌ .
Musa bin Tarif narrates from his father that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) carried out a distribution (of wealth) and called a man to do the accounting among the people. The people said: "Give him (something in return for this service)." He (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "If he wishes (I will give it), even though it is suht (unlawful wealth)."
