قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ قَالَ : أَتَى رَجُلٌ نَبِيَّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَثَا عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ ، فَحَمِدَ اللهَ تَعَالَى وَجَعَلَ الْحَمْدَ مَعَهُ ثَلَاثً ، فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : قَاتَلَهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى ، أَيُّ كَلِمَةٍ صَبَّهَا الشَّيْطَانُ عَلَيْهِ ؟ وَلَوْ كُنْتُ قَاتِلًا وَافِدًا مِنَ الْعَرَبِ قَتَلْتُهُ .

It is narrated from Qays that a man came into the noble presence of the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and sat on his knees; then he praised Allah Almighty, and along with that praise he made a mention three times (in an improper manner). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Allah destroy him! What a word it is that Satan has poured upon him! If I were one to kill a visitor from among the delegations of the Arabs, I would certainly have killed him."
