وَقَالَ عَبْدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ أَبِي فَرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَنْ قُتِلَ كَانَ كَفَّارَةً لِكُلِّ ذَنْبٍ دُونَ الشِّرْكِ .
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is killed (in the path of Allah), this martyrdom of his becomes an expiation for every sin of his except shirk (associating partners with Allah)."
