وَقَالَ أَيْضًا : حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ الْمُحَبَّرِ ، ثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : حَثَّنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْجِهَادِ ، وَقَالَ : إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ مُجَاهِدِي أُمَّتِي كَمَثَلِ جِبْرِيلَ وَمِيكَائِيلَ ، وَهُمَا رَسَائِلُ اللهِ تَبَارَكَ تَعَالَى وَخُزَّانُهُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) urged us to jihad and said: "Indeed, the likeness of the mujahidin of my Ummah is like that of Jibril and Mika'il, and those two are the envoys of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, and the trustees of His (treasury of power)."
