قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، ثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : إِنَّهُ خَطَبَ امْرَأَةً بِمَكَّةَ وَهُوَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : لَيْتَ عِنْدِي مَنْ رَآهَا وَمَنْ يُخْبِرُ عَنْهَا ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يُدْعَى هِيتٌ : أَنَا أَنْعَتُهَا لَكَ ، إِذَا أَقْبَلَتْ ، قُلْتَ : تَمْشِي عَلَى سِتٍّ ، وَإِذَا أَدْبَرَتْ قُلْتَ : تَمْشِي عَلَى أَرْبَعٍ . فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَرَى هَذَا مُنْكَرًا ، أُرَاهُ يَعْرِفُ أَمْرَ النِّسَاءِ . وَكَانَ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْهَا - يَعْنِي عَلَى سَوْدَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا - فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ نَفَاهُ ، وَكَانَ كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى إِمْرَةِ عُمَرَ ، وَكَانَ يُرَخِّصُ لَهُ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ الْمَدِينَةَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَيَتَصَدَّقُ .
1880 \ 2 - قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ بِهَذَا .
1880 \ 3 - وَأَخْرَجَهُ الْبَزَّارُ عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، وَزَادَ بَعْدَ قَوْلِهِ : وَهَذَا يَعْرِفُ النِّسَاءَ ، وَكَانَ يَدْخُلُ عَلَى سَوْدَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا : فَيَنْهَاهَا أَنْ يَدْخُلَ عَلَيْهَا ، وَقَالَ فِي آخِرِهِ : فَيَتَصَدَّقُ كُلَّ جُمُعَةٍ .
قَالَ الْبَزَّارُ : لَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا رَوَاهُ عَنْ سَعْدٍ إِلَّا ابْنُهُ ، وَلَا عَنْهُ إِلَّا مُجَاهِدٌ ، وَلَا عَنْهُ إِلَّا عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ ، وَلَا عَنْهُ إِلَّا ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، وَلَا عَنْهُ إِلَّا عِيسَى ، وَلَا عَنْهُ إِلَّا بَكْرٌ ، وَلَا أَسْنَدَ مُجَاهِدٌ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ إِلَّا هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ .

1880 \ 3 - وَأَخْرَجَهُ الْبَزَّارُ عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، وَزَادَ بَعْدَ قَوْلِهِ : وَهَذَا يَعْرِفُ النِّسَاءَ ، وَكَانَ يَدْخُلُ عَلَى سَوْدَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا : فَيَنْهَاهَا أَنْ يَدْخُلَ عَلَيْهَا ، وَقَالَ فِي آخِرِهِ : فَيَتَصَدَّقُ كُلَّ جُمُعَةٍ .
قَالَ الْبَزَّارُ : لَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا رَوَاهُ عَنْ سَعْدٍ إِلَّا ابْنُهُ ، وَلَا عَنْهُ إِلَّا مُجَاهِدٌ ، وَلَا عَنْهُ إِلَّا عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ ، وَلَا عَنْهُ إِلَّا ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، وَلَا عَنْهُ إِلَّا عِيسَى ، وَلَا عَنْهُ إِلَّا بَكْرٌ ، وَلَا أَسْنَدَ مُجَاهِدٌ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ إِلَّا هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Malik (Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas) (may Allah be pleased with him) that he sent a proposal of marriage to a woman in Makkah while he was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He expressed the wish: "If only I had someone who had seen her and could tell me about her." At this a man named Hit said: "I will describe her to you: when she comes towards you, (because of her physical beauty and the folds of her body) it looks as though she walks on six folds, and when she turns her back and goes, she appears to have four folds." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "I strongly disapprove of this. I think this man is well acquainted with the (hidden physical) features of women." That man used to visit the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Sawdah (may Allah be pleased with her). So when he (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Madinah, he exiled him (from Madinah), and he remained in that state until the caliphate of Sayyiduna Umar al-Faruq (may Allah be pleased with him). However, he had been permitted to enter Madinah on Fridays to ask for charity.
Abu Ya'la also recorded this hadith through the chain of Abu Bakr bin Abi Shaybah. Al-Bazzar also narrated it through the chain of Mahmud bin Bakr, adding that he (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade Sayyidah Sawdah (may Allah be pleased with her) from letting this man come in to her, and that he used to come every Friday to receive charity. Al-Bazzar said: No one narrated this hadith from Sayyiduna Sa'd except his son Amir, from him only Mujahid, from him only Abd al-Karim, from him only Ibn Abi Layla, from him only Isa, and from him only Bakr; and we know of no other musnad hadith of Mujahid from Amir bin Sa'd besides this report.
