وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، أَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، قَالَ : " جِيءَ بِابْنِ النُّعَيْمَانِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ شَرِبَ خَمْرًا ، فَأَمَرَ مَنْ فِي الْبَيْتِ فَقَامُوا إِلَيْهِ فَضَرَبُوهُ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ وَالْجَرِيدِ وَالنِّعَالِ .
هَذَا مُرْسَلٌ ، قُلْتُ : وَقَدْ أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ، فَزَادَ بَعْدَ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ : عُقْبَةَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ ، وَزَادَ فِي آخِرِهِ : وَكُنْتُ فِيمَنْ ضَرَبَهُ .
هَذَا مُرْسَلٌ ، قُلْتُ : وَقَدْ أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ، فَزَادَ بَعْدَ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ : عُقْبَةَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ ، وَزَادَ فِي آخِرِهِ : وَكُنْتُ فِيمَنْ ضَرَبَهُ .
It is narrated from Ibn Abi Mulaykah that the son of Sayyiduna Nu'ayman was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) after he had drunk wine. He (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered those present in the house (to punish him), so they went up to him and beat him with their hands, palm branches and sandals.
This narration is mursal. I (Ibn Hajar) say: Imam al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) recorded this hadith through this same route, but after Ibn Abi Mulaykah he added Sayyiduna Uqbah bin al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) (which makes the narration connected), and at the end of the narration he also related these additional words: "And I myself was among those who beat him."
