وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا ، عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ : " كُنْتُ رَدِيفَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَعْرَابِيٌّ مَعَهُ ابْنَةٌ لَهُ حَسْنَاءُ ، فَجَعَلَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ يَعْرِضُهَا لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجَاءَ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَهَا ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: "I was riding behind the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (on his mount), and there was a Bedouin there with his beautiful daughter, and the Bedouin began presenting his daughter to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the hope that he (peace and blessings be upon him) might marry her."
