قَالَ الْحُمَيْدِيُّ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، ثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتَ يَزِيدَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا تَقُولُ : تَابَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي نِسْوَةٍ ، فَقَالَ لَنَا : " فِيمَا اسْتَطَعْتُنَّ ؟ " فَقُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، بَايِعْنَا ! فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنِّي لَا أُصَافِحُكُنَّ ، إِنَّمَا آخُذُ عَلَيْكُنَّ مَا أَخَذَهُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ".
1586 \ 2 - وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، ثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنِي شَهْرُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ ، أَنَّهُ لَقِيَ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتَ يَزِيدَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا . قَالَ : فَحَدَّثَتْنِي : إِنَّمَا بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ بَايَعَ النِّسَاءَ ، قَالَتْ : فَمَدَدْتُ يَدِي لِأُبَايِعَهُ ، فَقَبَضَ يَدَهُ وَقَالَ : " لَا أُصَافِحُ النِّسَاءَ ، وَلَكِنْ إِنَّمَا آخُذُ عَلَيْهِنَّ بِالْقَوْلِ ".
1586 \ 3 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ ، عَنْ مُسْتَقِيمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يُصَافِحُ النِّسَاءَ ".
1586 \ 2 - وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، ثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنِي شَهْرُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ ، أَنَّهُ لَقِيَ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتَ يَزِيدَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا . قَالَ : فَحَدَّثَتْنِي : إِنَّمَا بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ بَايَعَ النِّسَاءَ ، قَالَتْ : فَمَدَدْتُ يَدِي لِأُبَايِعَهُ ، فَقَبَضَ يَدَهُ وَقَالَ : " لَا أُصَافِحُ النِّسَاءَ ، وَلَكِنْ إِنَّمَا آخُذُ عَلَيْهِنَّ بِالْقَوْلِ ".
1586 \ 3 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ ، عَنْ مُسْتَقِيمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يُصَافِحُ النِّسَاءَ ".
It is narrated from Sayyidah Asma bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) that: I followed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the company of some women, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) asked us: "As far as you are able?" We said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Accept our pledge of allegiance. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I do not shake hands with you women; I only take from you a pledge on those matters on which Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has taken a pledge." In another narration Sayyidah Asma bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) relates: I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day he (peace and blessings be upon him) was taking the pledge from the women. She says: I stretched out my hand to pledge allegiance, but he (peace and blessings be upon him) withdrew his blessed hand and said: "I do not shake hands with women; rather, I take the pledge from them by word only." In another chain it is narrated from Sayyidah Asma (may Allah be pleased with her): "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not shake hands with women."
