إِسْحَاقُ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ ، ثَنَا كَثِيرٌ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ - حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنَّهُ قَالَ : أَدْخِلُوا عَلَيَّ النَّاسَ ، وَلَا تُدْخِلُوا إِلَّا قُرَيْشًا .
فَدَخَلُوا يَتَسَلَّلُونَ حَتَّى امْتَلَأَ الْبَيْتُ ، فَقَالَ : هَلْ فِيكُمْ أَحَدٌ لَيْسَ مِنْكُمْ ؟ فَقَالُوا : ابْنُ الْأُخْتِ ، وَالْمَوْلَى ، وَالْحَلِيفُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : ابْنُ الْأُخْتِ مِنْهُمْ ، وَحَلِيفُهُمْ مِنْهُمْ ، وَمَوْلَاهُمْ مِنْهُمْ .
فَدَخَلُوا يَتَسَلَّلُونَ حَتَّى امْتَلَأَ الْبَيْتُ ، فَقَالَ : هَلْ فِيكُمْ أَحَدٌ لَيْسَ مِنْكُمْ ؟ فَقَالُوا : ابْنُ الْأُخْتِ ، وَالْمَوْلَى ، وَالْحَلِيفُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : ابْنُ الْأُخْتِ مِنْهُمْ ، وَحَلِيفُهُمْ مِنْهُمْ ، وَمَوْلَاهُمْ مِنْهُمْ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allow the people to come in to me, and (see!) do not let anyone in except Quraysh." So they came in one by one, quietly, until the house was full. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Is there anyone among you who is not one of you (that is, not purely of Quraysh)?" They replied: (Yes!) A sister's son, a freed slave and an ally (a party to a pact). So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A people's sister's son is counted as one of them, their ally is also one of them, and their freed slave is also (counted as) one of them."
