It is narrated from Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Nu'm that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) "forbade qafiz al-tahhan (that is, giving the miller, as his wage, a measure from the very grain he has ground)." This report is mursal and hasan (good); al-Daraqutni recorded it with a connected chain from another route through Abd al-Rahman, mentioning Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri.
