It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade buying a debt in exchange for a debt (that is, bay' al-kali' bil-kali')." These are the words of Waki', while the other narrator put it: "That al-kali' be bought for al-kali', and that is a debt for a debt." Musa (a narrator in its chain) is da'if (weak).
