وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ كُلْثُومٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ ثَلَاثِينَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كُلُّهُمْ يَنْهَى عَنِ الصَّرْفِ ، مِنْهُمْ مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - .
Yahya narrated through Rabi'ah bin Kulthum, his father and Mujahid from Abu Abdullah that he said: "I saw thirty of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), all of whom forbade 'sarf' (the mutual sale of gold and silver), and among them was Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him)."
