حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ عَلِيًّا ، وَعُثْمَانَ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا - نَهَيَا عَنِ الصَّرْفِ .
It is narrated from Sa'id bin al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him): "Indeed, Sayyiduna Ali and Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them both) forbade the sarf sale (exchanging gold and silver for each other)."
