Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated with his chain from Sayyiduna Ali bin al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he saw a man who would come to an opening (a hole or small window) near the blessed grave of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), enter it and supplicate there. So he called him and said: "Shall I not narrate to you a hadith that I heard from my father, from my grandfather (may Allah be pleased with them both), from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not make my grave an 'Id (a place of repeated gathering or festival), nor make your houses graveyards; and send blessings upon me, for your blessings and your greetings of peace reach me wherever you are." Imam Abu Ya'la also narrated it likewise through the chain of Abu Bakr bin Abi Shaybah.
