وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ - هُوَ ابْنُ حَرْبٍ - ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ - هُوَ ابْنُ زُبَالَةَ - عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : فُتِحَتِ الْمَدَائِنُ بِالسَّيْفِ ، وَفُتِحَتِ الْمَدِينَةُ بِالْقُرْآنِ .
تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ وَكَانَ ضَعِيفًا جِدًّا ، وَإِنَّمَا هَذَا قَوْلُ مَالِكٍ ، فَجَعَلَهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ مَرْفُوعًا ، وَأَبْرَزَ لَهُ إِسْنَادًا .
وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ غَيْرُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ ، فَزَادَ فِي الْإِسْنَادِ عَائِشَةَ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا - .
تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ وَكَانَ ضَعِيفًا جِدًّا ، وَإِنَّمَا هَذَا قَوْلُ مَالِكٍ ، فَجَعَلَهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ مَرْفُوعًا ، وَأَبْرَزَ لَهُ إِسْنَادًا .
وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ غَيْرُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ ، فَزَادَ فِي الْإِسْنَادِ عَائِشَةَ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا - .
Abu Ya'la narrated through Urwah that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "All other cities were conquered by the sword, while Madinah was conquered by the Qur'an." Muhammad bin al-Hasan is alone in narrating this report, and he was an extremely weak narrator. In fact, this is the saying of Imam Malik himself, which Muhammad bin al-Hasan made into a marfu' hadith and produced a chain for it. Others besides Muhammad bin al-Hasan have also narrated it, and they added the name of Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) to the chain.
