الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، ثَنَا مَعْمَرُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَنْ سَبِّ أَسْعَدَ الْحِمْيَرِيِّ ، وَقَالَ : هُوَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ كَسَا الْبَيْتَ .
تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ الْوَاقِدِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade reviling As'ad al-Himyari, and said: "He was the first to clothe the House (the Ka'bah)."
Only al-Waqidi narrated it, and he is da'if (weak).
