بَابُ دُعَاءِ الْمَرْءِ لِنَفْسِهِ .

عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كَانَ إِذَا دَعَا بَدَأَ بِنَفْسِهِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated, he would begin with himself.

وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَيُّ الدُّعَاءِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ قَالَ : " دُعَاءُ الْمَرْءِ لِنَفْسِهِ " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ بِإِسْنَادَيْنِ ، وَأَحَدُهُمَا جَيِّدٌ .
Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) relates: I asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Which supplication is most excellent?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man's supplication for himself."
