Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever recites: 'La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir' (There is no deity except Allah; He alone is the deity, He has no partner; to Him alone belongs the dominion, to Him alone belongs all praise, and He has power over all things), (the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, says:) whoever recites these words two hundred times in a day, no one before him will surpass him and no one after him will reach him, except for someone who does a deed more excellent than his (that is, recites this phrase more times than he did)."
Ahmad and Tabarani recorded it, except that he recorded the words: "every day." The narrators of Ahmad are thiqat (trustworthy), and among the narrators of Tabarani are people whom I do not know.

Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Any servant who recites 'La ilaha illallah' (There is no deity except Allah) 100 times, when Allah Almighty raises him on the Day of Resurrection, his face will be like the moon on the fourteenth night, and on that day no one's deed that is more excellent than his deed will be raised up, except for one who recited this phrase as he did, or recited it more times."
Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Wahhab bin al-Dahhak, who is matruk (abandoned).

Sayyiduna Abu al-Mundhir al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) states: I said: "O Prophet of Allah, teach me the most excellent speech." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abu al-Mundhir, recite: 'La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, yuhyi wa yumitu, biyadihil-khayru, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir' (There is no deity except Allah; He alone is the deity, He has no partner; to Him alone belongs the dominion, to Him alone belongs all praise; He gives life, He gives death; all good is in His hand, and He has power over all things). (The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:) Recite it one hundred times every day, and on that day you will be the most excellent of people in deeds, except for one who recited as much as you recited." (Allamah Haythami says:) I say: After this he mentioned the complete narration, which is given in full in the chapter on the enduring good deeds (al-baqiyat al-salihat).
Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Jabir al-Ju'fi, who is da'if (weak).
