Amr bin Hurayth narrates: My father narrated to me this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Truffles are part of the salwa, and their water is a cure for the eye."
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Ata' bin al-Sa'ib, whose memory became confused (ikhtilat); the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyiduna Sa'id bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Truffles are part of the salwa, and their water is a cure for the eye." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
This narration is in the Sahih, but without the words: "are part of the salwa."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
