Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Eat whatever your bow brings back to you."
Ahmad recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator who is not named.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A black slave came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: If a wayfarer (that is, a traveller) passes by me while I am among my master's animals, may I give him some of the milk of those animals to drink without my masters' permission? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No! The man asked: If I shoot an arrow and the animal does not go out of my sight, or it goes out of sight (what is the ruling)? He said: "Eat what does not go out of your sight, and leave what goes out of sight."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains the narrator Uthman bin Abd al-Rahman; I think he is al-Qurashi, and he is matruk (abandoned).
