عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ : جَمَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بَيْنَ الْأُولَى وَالْعَصْرِ ، وَبَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ : " صَنَعْتُ هَذَا لِكَيْ لَا تُحْرَجَ أُمَّتِي " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْقُدُّوسِ ضَعَّفَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ ، وَوَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ وَقَالَ الْبُخَارِيُّ : صَدُوقٌ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ يَرْوِي عَنْ أَقْوَامٍ ضُعَفَاءَ، قُلْتُ : وَقَدْ رَوَى هَذَا عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْقُدُّوسِ ضَعَّفَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ ، وَوَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ وَقَالَ الْبُخَارِيُّ : صَدُوقٌ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ يَرْوِي عَنْ أَقْوَامٍ ضُعَفَاءَ، قُلْتُ : وَقَدْ رَوَى هَذَا عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered the first (that is, Zuhr) and the Asr prayers together, and the Maghrib and Isha prayers together. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about this, and he said: "I did this so that my Ummah would not be put into hardship."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Abdullah bin Abd al-Quddus, whom Yahya bin Ma'in and Imam al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) declared da'if (weak), while Ibn Hibban declared him thiqah (trustworthy). Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) says: He is saduq (truthful), except that he narrates from weak people. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: He narrated this from al-A'mash, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : جَمَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بَيْنَ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ بِالْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ غَيْرِ خَوْفٍ .

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered two prayers together in Madinah al-Munawwarah without any fear.
