Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reports the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "In this world the believers are of three kinds: (the first kind) those who believe in Allah and His Messenger and then fall into no doubt, and who strive (jihad) in the path of Allah Almighty with their wealth and their lives; (the second kind) those from whom (other) people are safe regarding their wealth and their lives; and then (the third kind) those who, when something tempting appears before them, abandon it for the sake of Allah Almighty."
Imam Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Darraj, whom Yahya bin Ma'in declared thiqah (trustworthy), while others declared him da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "We do not know of anything that is better than 'one hundred' things like it, except a believing man." Imam Ahmad and Imam al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Saghir recorded it, except that Imam al-Tabarani transmitted these words in the narration: "We do not know of anything that is better than 'one thousand' things like it."
The chain revolves around a narrator, Usamah bin Zayd bin Aslam, who is very weak (da'if jiddan).
