Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 9970

Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a message to Ikrimah bin Abi Jahl asking: "Who struck your father?" He said: "The one who cut off his leg." So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) decided that Abu Jahl's belongings should be given to Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Amr bin al-Jamuh (may Allah be pleased with him).
Al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains Abd al-Aziz bin Imran, who is da'if (weak).
