وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : كَتَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - إِلَى حَيٍّ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى الْإِسْلَامِ فَلَمْ يَقْبَلُوا الْكِتَابَ وَرَجَعُوا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَأَخْبَرُوهُ فَقَالَ : " أَمَا إِنِّي لَوْ بُعِثْتُ بِهِ إِلَى قَوْمٍ بِشَطِّ عُمَانَ مِنْ أَزْدِ شَنُوءَةَ وَأَسْلَمَ لَقَبِلُوهُ " . .
ثُمَّ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - إِلَى الْجُلَنْدَا يَدْعُوهُ إِلَى الْإِسْلَامِ فَقَبِلَهُ وَأَسْلَمَ وَبَعَثَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - هَدِيَّةً فَقَدِمَتِ الْهَدِيَّةُ ، وَقَدْ قُبَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَجَعَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْهَدِيَّةَ مَوْرَثًا فَقَسَمَهَا بَيْنَ فَاطِمَةَ وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَفِيهِ عَمْرُو بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
ثُمَّ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - إِلَى الْجُلَنْدَا يَدْعُوهُ إِلَى الْإِسْلَامِ فَقَبِلَهُ وَأَسْلَمَ وَبَعَثَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - هَدِيَّةً فَقَدِمَتِ الْهَدِيَّةُ ، وَقَدْ قُبَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَجَعَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْهَدِيَّةَ مَوْرَثًا فَقَسَمَهَا بَيْنَ فَاطِمَةَ وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wrote a letter to a tribe of the Arabs inviting them to Islam. They did not accept the letter. Those men came back to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and told him about it, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Had I sent this letter to a people on the coast of Oman from Azd Shanu'ah and Aslam, they would have accepted it." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a letter to al-Julanda inviting him to Islam, and he accepted it and embraced Islam. He sent a gift to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); when the gift arrived, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had already passed away. Then Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) took that gift and distributed it as inheritance between Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) and other people.
