وَعَنْ عُوَيْمِ بْنِ سَاعِدَةَ قَالَ : أَبْصَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - رَجُلًا مَعَهُ قَوْسٌ فَارِسِيَّةٌ فَقَالَ : " اطْرَحْهَا " ثُمَّ أَشَارَ إِلَى الْقَوْسِ الْعَرَبِيَّةِ فَقَالَ : " بِهَذِهِ وَبِرِمَاحِ الْقَنَا يُمَكِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ فِي الْبِلَادِ وَيَنْصُرُكُمْ عَلَى عَدُوِّكُمْ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَفِي إِسْنَادِهِ مَسَاتِيرُ لَمْ يُضَعَّفُوا وَلَمْ يُوَثَّقُوا .

Sayyiduna Uwaym bin Sa'idah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man who had a Persian bow. He said: "Put it down!" Then he pointed to an Arab bow and said: "Through this, and through spears of qana, Allah Almighty will give you power over the lands and will help you against your enemy."
