عَنْ دِحْيَةَ الْكَلْبِيِّ قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلَا أَحْمِلُ لَكَ حِمَارًا عَلَى فَرَسٍ فَيُنْتَجَ لَكَ بَغْلًا فَتَرْكَبَهَا ؟ قَالَ : " إِنَّمَا يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ : أَنَّ دِحْيَةَ مُرْسِلٌ، وَهُوَ عِنْدُ أَحْمَدَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ دِحْيَةَ ، وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ خَلَا عُمَرَ بْنَ حُسَيْلٍ مِنْ آلِ حُذَيْفَةَ، وَوَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ : أَنَّ دِحْيَةَ مُرْسِلٌ، وَهُوَ عِنْدُ أَحْمَدَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ دِحْيَةَ ، وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ خَلَا عُمَرَ بْنَ حُسَيْلٍ مِنْ آلِ حُذَيْفَةَ، وَوَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ .
Sayyiduna Dihyah al-Kalbi (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I said: O Messenger of Allah, shall I not have a donkey mate with a horse for you so that a mule is born, and you can ride it? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Only those who do not have knowledge do that."
Imam Ahmad recorded it, and Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, but he said: From Imam al-Sha'bi
it is reported that Sayyiduna Dihyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said this:
this narration is "mursal." Imam Ahmad recorded it from Imam al-Sha'bi from Sayyiduna Dihyah (may Allah be pleased with him). The narrators of Imam Ahmad are the narrators of the Sahih, except the narrator named Umar bin Husayl, who belongs to the family of Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him); Ibn Hibban declared him thiqah (trustworthy).
