Sayyiduna Ibn al-Sa'di (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Emigration (hijrah) will not come to an end as long as fighting with the enemy continues." Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) stated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Emigration is of two kinds: one kind is to dissociate oneself from evil deeds, and the other is to emigrate to Allah and His Messenger. Emigration will not come to an end as long as repentance continues to be accepted, and repentance will continue to be accepted until the sun rises from the west. When it (the sun) rises (from the west), every heart will be sealed with whatever state is in it, and people will be relieved of (the need for) deeds." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Imam Abu Dawud and Imam al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on them) recorded part of the hadith narrated by Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him).
Ahmad recorded it. Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Saghir, without mentioning the hadith narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn al-Sa'di (may Allah be pleased with him). Al-Bazzar recorded the hadith narrated from Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Awf and Sayyiduna Ibn al-Sa'di (may Allah be pleased with him). The narrators of Ahmad are thiqat (trustworthy).
