وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَمَرَ بِقَطْعِ الْأَجْرَاسِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ جَرِيرُ بْنُ الْمُسْلِمِ ، وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ حَدِيثُ عُمَرَ فِي بَابِ التَّمَاثِيلِ .

وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ حَدِيثُ عُمَرَ فِي بَابِ التَّمَاثِيلِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that bells be cut off.
Imam Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Jarir bin Muslim, whom I do not know, and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy). The hadith reported from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) has already passed in the chapter on "Figures".
