عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ سَقَطَتْ ثَنِيَّتُهُ فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنْ يَشُدَّهَا بِذَهَبٍ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ السَّمَّانُ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: His father's front teeth fell out, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to bind them with gold.
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains the narrator Abu al-Rabi' al-Samman, who is matruk (abandoned).
