عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " اطْوُوا ثِيَابَكُمْ تَرْجِعْ إِلَيْهَا أَرْوَاحُهَا ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ إِذَا وَجَدَ ثَوْبًا مَطْوِيًا لَمْ يَلْبَسْهُ ، وَإِذَا وَجَدَ مَنْشُورًا لَبِسَهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عُمَرُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ وَجِيهٍ ، وَهُوَ وَضَّاعٌ .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Fold your clothes! Their spirits will return to them. For when Satan finds a garment folded, he does not wear it, and when he finds a garment spread open, he wears it."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Umar bin Musa bin Wajih, and he is a fabricator of hadith (wadda').
