عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَجُلًا يَشْرَبُ قَائِمًا فَقَالَ : " قِهْ " [قَالَ : لِمَهْ ؟ قَالَ ]: " أَيَسُرُّكَ أَنْ يَشْرَبَ مَعَكَ الْهِرُّ ؟ " قَالَ : لَا ، قَالَ : " فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ شَرِبَ مَعَكَ مَنْ هُوَ شَرٌّ مِنْهُ ، الشَّيْطَانُ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالْبَزَّارُ وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man drinking while standing, and said: "Vomit it out." The man said: "Why?" the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Would it please you for a cat to drink along with you?" He replied: "No." the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then one who is worse than it has drunk along with you" (perhaps the narrator says:) that is, Satan.
