وَعَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ - يَعْنِي : ابْنَ ثَابِتٍ - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " يَأْتِي الشَّيْطَانُ الْإِنْسَانَ فَيَقُولُ : مَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ ؟ فَيَقُولُ : اللَّهُ ، فَيَقُولُ : مَنْ خَلَقَ الْأَرْضَ ؟ فَيَقُولُ : اللَّهُ ، حَتَّى يَقُولَ : مَنْ خَلَقَ اللَّهَ ؟ فَإِذَا وَجَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَلِكَ فَلْيَقُلْ : آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ بِإِسْنَادٍ فِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ .

Sayyiduna Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Satan comes to a person and says: 'Who created the heavens?' The man says: 'Allah Almighty.' Satan says: 'Who created the earth?' The man says: 'Allah Almighty.' Until Satan says: 'Who created Allah Almighty?' When anyone experiences such a situation, he should say: 'I believe in Allah Almighty and His Messengers.'"
Ahmad, and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, recorded it with a chain that contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah.
