عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كَانَ يَأْكُلُ الرُّطَبَ بِيَمِينِهِ ، وَالْبِطِّيخِ بِيَسَارِهِ ، فَيَأْكُلُ الرُّطَبَ بِالْبِطِّيخِ ، وَكَانَ أَحَبَّ الْفَاكِهَةِ إِلَيْهِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ الصَّفَارُ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was eating fresh dates with his right hand, and there was watermelon in his left hand. He was eating the dates with the watermelon. Watermelon was the most beloved of fruits to him.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Yusuf bin Atiyyah al-Saffar, and he is matruk (abandoned).
