عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِذَا طَبَخْتُمُ اللَّحْمَ فَأَكْثِرُوا الْمَرَقَ - أَوِ الْمَاءَ - فَإِنَّهُ أَوْسَعُ أَوْ - أَبْلَغُ - فِي الْجِيرَانِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالْبَزَّارُ وَلَفْظُهُ : عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِذَا طَبَخْتَ قِدْرًا فَأَكْثِرْ مَاءَهَا - أَوْ قَالَ : الْمَرَقَ - وَتَعَاهَدْ جِيرَانَكَ " .
وَرِجَالُ الْبَزَّارِ فِيهِمْ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَغْرَاءَ ، وَثَّقَهُ أَبُو زُرْعَةَ وَجَمَاعَةٌ ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ لَا يَضُرُّ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالْبَزَّارُ وَلَفْظُهُ : عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِذَا طَبَخْتَ قِدْرًا فَأَكْثِرْ مَاءَهَا - أَوْ قَالَ : الْمَرَقَ - وَتَعَاهَدْ جِيرَانَكَ " .
وَرِجَالُ الْبَزَّارِ فِيهِمْ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَغْرَاءَ ، وَثَّقَهُ أَبُو زُرْعَةَ وَجَمَاعَةٌ ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ لَا يَضُرُّ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you cook meat, increase the broth (the narrator is unsure; perhaps the words are:) increase the water, for it will be more ample for the neighbours" (the narrator is unsure about one word here).
Ahmad and al-Bazzar recorded it. His wording is: Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you cook a pot, increase its water (the narrator is unsure; perhaps the words are:) increase the broth, and look after your neighbours."
Al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains Abd al-Rahman bin Maghra', whom Abu Zur'ah and others declared thiqah (trustworthy); some criticism has been made of him that does no harm. The remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.
