Majma al-Zawaid 7873 — Feeding people
وَعَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ : ذَهَبَ الْمُطْعِمُونَ وَهُمُ الْمُسْتَطْعَمُونَ وَذَهَبَ الْمُذَكِّرُونَ وَبَقِيَ الْمُنَسِّئُونَ .
قَالَ الْحَسَنُ : أَمَا وَاللَّهِ لَوْ كَانَ عِمْرَانُ حَيًّا الْيَوْمَ لَكَانَ أَقْوَلَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِإِسْنَادَيْنِ وَرِجَالُ أَحَدِهِمَا ثِقَاتٌ .
قَالَ الْحَسَنُ : أَمَا وَاللَّهِ لَوْ كَانَ عِمْرَانُ حَيًّا الْيَوْمَ لَكَانَ أَقْوَلَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِإِسْنَادَيْنِ وَرِجَالُ أَحَدِهِمَا ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Those who fed others have departed, and they were the ones from whom food was sought; and those who gave admonition have departed, and those who cause forgetfulness remain. Hasan al-Basri says: By Allah! If Sayyiduna Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) were alive today, his statement would have been even more fitting (to the situation).
Tabarani recorded it with two chains, and the narrators of one of them are thiqat (trustworthy).
