Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 7817

Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from his maternal aunt that (she was observing her waiting period, and) she intended to leave the house and go to her date-palm orchard to tend to it. A man said to her: "You do not have the right to do this." The woman came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Go out and tend to your date-palm orchard! Perhaps you will give it in charity or use it for some other good deed." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
This narration is mentioned in the Sahih as a hadith of Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) himself, and here it is mentioned as a narration from his maternal aunt.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
