Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 7698

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to go on a journey, he would draw lots among his wives. On the occasion of the expedition of Banu al-Mustaliq, the lot fell to Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her).
Abu Ya'la and al-Tabarani recorded it in abridged form. Its chain contains Muhammad bin Amr bin Alqamah, whose hadith is hasan (good). The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
