وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِنِّي لِأَجِدُ التَّمْرَةَ سَاقِطَةً فَآخُذُهَا فَآكُلُهَا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَالْبَزَّارُ بِنَحْوِهِ وَقَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ النَّبْقِيُّ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، وَلَمْ أَجِدْ مَنْ تَرْجَمَهُمَا .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَالْبَزَّارُ بِنَحْوِهِ وَقَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ النَّبْقِيُّ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، وَلَمْ أَجِدْ مَنْ تَرْجَمَهُمَا .
Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Sometimes I find a fallen date and I eat it."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and al-Bazzar recorded something similar. Al-Tabarani says: Muhammad bin al-Ala' al-Nabqi is alone in narrating it from al-Walid bin Ibrahim bin Abd al-Rahman bin Awf. I have not found anyone who has given the biographies of these two.
