Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 6847

Sayyiduna Ya'la bin Murrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever picks up a minor lost item, such as a dirham, a rope or something similar, must announce it for three days; and if it is something more than that, he must announce it for six days."
Ahmad recorded it through Amr bin Abdullah bin Ya'la. If he is Amr, then I do not know him, and if he is Umar, then he is da'if (weak).
