وَعَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " مَنْ شَرَطَ لِأَخِيهِ شَرْطًا لَا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَفِيَ لَهُ بِهِ فَهُوَ كَالْمُدْلِي جَارَهُ إِلَى غَيْرِ مَنَعَةٍ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ ، وَهُوَ مُدَلِّسٌ ثِقَةٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ ، وَهُوَ مُدَلِّسٌ ثِقَةٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever makes a condition with his brother that he does not intend to fulfil is like one who exposes his neighbour to a harm that he (the neighbour) cannot ward off (from himself)."
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, al-Hajjaj bin Artah, who is a mudallis but thiqah (trustworthy), and the remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.
