Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) states: A man came and complained against his father, saying: He takes my wealth. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "You and your wealth are part of your father's earnings."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it, and Imam al-Tabarani in al-Kabir; in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat it has only these words: "The child is part of the father's earnings." Its chain contains a narrator, Maymun bin Yazid, whom Abu Hatim declared weak (layyin), and I have not found anyone who gave the biography of the narrator Wahb bin Yahya bin Zimam. The remaining narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).
