وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْقَيْنِيِّ أَنَّ سَرَقَ اشْتَرَى مِنْ رَجُلٍ قَدْ قَرَأَ الْبَقَرَةَ بُرًّا قَدِمَ بِهِ فَتَجَازَاهُ ، فَتَغَيَّبَ عَنْهُ ، ثُمَّ ظَفِرَ بِهِ فَأَتَى بِهِ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " بِعْ سَرَقَ " . قَالَ : فَانْطَلَقْتُ بِهِ فَسَاوَمَنِي أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ ، ثُمَّ بَدَا لِي فَأَعْتَقْتُهُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَحَدِيثُهُ حَسَنٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَحَدِيثُهُ حَسَنٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Abd al-Rahman al-Qayni narrates: Sayyiduna Surraq (may Allah be pleased with him) bought wheat from a man who knew Surah al-Baqarah, and he took the wheat and went into hiding. Then that man caught him and brought him to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sell Surraq!" The narrator says: I set out with him, and the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) bargained with me for three days; then I thought it fitting, and I set him free.
At-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah, whose narrations are hasan (good), and the rest of the narrators of this narration are the narrators of the Sahih.
